Compassionate Mindful Inquiry in Therapeutic Practice – Karen Atkinson

We now have two copies of this in our library. Practical and informative, this hands-on manual clearly depicts the relationship between mindfulness and compassion, demonstrating how one supports the other. The book offers a fresh perspective on mindfulness that resonates with a human approach and helps practitioners to validate their work by giving a sense of grounding and direction, and providing a safe, appropriate and transformative process in which to conduct inquiry.

Including chapters on the meaning of Compassionate Mindful Inquiry and the Model of Inquiry, Atkinson facilitates transformational change and offers guidance for those incorporating mindfulness teaching into their own professional practice.

As well as our bra recycling we also have a charity recycling collection box for a variety of different items – old cameras and equipment, stamps, mobile phones, jewellery and watches, game consoles and tablets. The donation box can be found by the front door of CKH.

Our bra recycling scheme takes your unwanted or unloved bras and through our network of bra banks raises vital funds for pioneering breast cancer research.

Together with our recycling partners, our textile recovery project prevents these bras going into landfill before giving them a new lease of life.

Successful ventures like this provide employment and an income for people living in the UK. Any bras that are genuinely beyond redemption are dismantled and disposed of properly.

For every tonne of bras collected, Against Breast Cancer receives £700 to fund our research. With over 30 million women in the UK you could really help make a difference!
