Description

‘Dying for Beginners’ discussion on Thursday 1st August 1.30pm-5.30pm

A bit of background… When my father died I wanted to make sure he knew he was loved to his very last breath. I did that, but if I had known more about the dying process his passing could have been less frightening and stressful for us all.

So, I investigated. I learned a lot and, following the death of a friend, thought it might be time to share what I had discovered.

The workshops are part of my fundraising for the trip to Machu Picchu in March 2025 with Weldmar Hospicecare who supported my friend in his last days. ALCS are wonderful in offering us the wonderful space at Cross Ways House to gather together.

The workshop is free, but any donations will be gratefully received. I suggest a donation of £30-50 simply because others are offering similar workshops on a paid basis, and I don’t want to undercut them. Please don’t feel you need to donate that much – anything or nothing is perfectly fine.

That’s it! I am no expert but want to be part of the movement to reclaim our wisdom around death and dying.

We always meet as a small group (I know life gets busy sometimes but please do come as planned if you possibly can); it’s very informal, non-religious and a chance to discuss and share thoughts and experiences together.

If you have any issues booking please email support@axminsterandlymecancersupport.co.uk
